3 romances set around Thanksgiving to read this turkey day
If you are anything like me, then you might love a good romance set around a favorite holiday. And yet, for some holidays it feels like there are so few books to choose from. While we often think of Christmas-themed books for the holidays, what about Thanksgiving?
Recently, I read a fun romance set around Thanksgiving and I realized that we needed more of this. And if you also want more Thanksgiving romances, then we have some suggestions to make it easier for you to get started.
While it can be hard to scrounge up books set during Thanksgiving, have no fear because we have three for you to choose from, with an honorable mention. So what are we suggesting for those Thanksgiving-based romances?
3 Thanksgiving romances to check out on turkey day this year
Her Naughty Holiday by Tiffany Reisz
Written as part of a series that seems to love holiday romances as much as I do, Her Naughty Holiday really does go all in on Thanksgiving. This spicy romance has a female lead who struggles with Thanksgiving dinner since that is when her family points out all of her mistakes. (And I have to say, I have never connected more with a leading lady. ) This book was fun and spicy, with characters I really enjoyed. And if you end up enjoying this one, there are more in the series to appreciate as well.
Stuffed by Jessica Gadziala
I love that the title of this book is a perfect seasonal pun that works with the romance. There is a bit of snark to this romance with heat and yes it is set during Thanksgiving. I think this one is on the shorter side, but all things considered, it does make sense. I read this book back in 2018, about two years after it was released (thank you Goodreads for keeping track of what I read and when), and gave it 3.5 stars. It was one of those quick reads for me that was fun but not so much that I was terribly invested. Definitely worth reading this holiday season.
Boyfriend by Sarina Bowen
Considering I have been on a hockey romance kick lately, this one made perfect sense for me. It features an unrequited crush that doesn't stay unrequited for long, hockey, fake dating, and more. Honestly, I read this in the summer and forgot it was even Thanksgiving-themed until I started pulling together books for this list. It was such a good read and it was one I will be coming back to on Thanksgiving.
Honorable Mention: Pumpkin Spice and Not So Nice by Becky Monson
This book is a bit more Fall vibes than Thanksgiving, but since the holiday does land during the season, I think it still counts. It was a fun read, with moments I legit laughed out loud. And honestly, it was worth cozying up with on Thanksgiving day.
