5 Witchy Romances to read for Halloween
There are so many romances to choose from when heading to the bookstore or the library. And even during spooky season, there are so many choices that are perfect for Halloween reading. Even without it being Halloween time, we love reading a good witchy romance.
But as we all know, with so many different books to choose from, it can be hard to pick something new to read. Or maybe you want to reread a good book, but aren't sure what to grab off the bookshelf. That's why we have some suggestions we want to share, because we know the struggle of picking our next read.
After stumbling across a witchy romance display at Barnes & Noble, we knew we needed to come up with some of our own witch-themed romances. So here are five of our suggestions that are perfect for spooky season and beyond.
5 Witchy romances to get us through spooky season and beyond
A Demon's Guide to Wooing a Witch
While this is the second book in a series, it can be read on its own. That being said, I read this one first and went back to book one and found that there were quite a few details that helped to enrich this story. However, this is a fun one and it is a bit of an enemies to lovers with amnesia thrown in. It gave me all the soap opera vibes and it was totally fun.
The Scars That Bind Us
The Scars That Bind Us by Michele Notaro is the first book in an epic MM romance series (with spin-off series) that is so brilliantly written that it will leave you crying, laughing, and falling in love. This is not for the faint of heart, but it is just so good. Magic is seemingly everywhere, but it comes with consequences and prejudice that so many can relate to. The entire series delivers and it is does so in a way that keeps you coming back for more.
The Insanity of Reincarnated Mages and Amorous Vampires
Want another witchy romance that is fluffy and funny, with a lot of characters that you will absolutely fall in love with? Then this MM Romance is for you! A.J. Sherwood and Devon Vesper come together for a brilliant story of immortal vampires, who are also magically inclined and live in a sentient library with their own personality. This is a story of finding love, recapturing the past, and soulmates who have found their way back to each other. It's a blast and totally worth a read or two.
The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches
This was a sweet fantasy with a witch who lived an isolated life but who can embrace love and family. While our witch may have had to keep her head down and her magic under wraps, once she finds her place in life, everything comes together in a way that is beautiful and engaging. This is definitely one to read, and it will definitely give you all the feel-good vibes.
Witches Get Stuff Done
If you love magical shenanigans, then this book is for you! This is also perfect for spooky season thanks to the addition of ghosts! In Witches Get Stuff Done, we not only see a young woman learning about her magic, but also falling in love. And as readers, we love that our love interest is a librarian! Honestly, it just adds that little bit extra to the story that left us wanting more. (And since this is the first book in a series, there is more to enjoy.)
What are you reading this spooky season? What is your favorite witchy romance? Will you be reading any of the listed books?
