Are you a fan of why choose romances? Do you like a little spice with your reading? As a fan of both of these things, I was very excited to find a cozy romance featuring some spice. And at the same time, this is a why choose romance with one girl and three guys. A Pack for Autumn by Emilia Emerson is a surprise in the very best ways.
I don’t think I would have ever expected to find a cozy romance with heat. And yet that’s exactly what A Pack for Autumn is, a cozy romance with some spice and angst. We have a young woman who has experienced some tremendous loss, and who takes on running a lighthouse in a brand-new town. But this town is not going to let her hide.
And right away, we learned that her men have their own trauma and loss from the past that they have to overcome. In a lot of ways, it makes them all perfect for each other.
The fun thing about this book is that it really does give those cozy vibes, even with some epic spice. It’s an interesting juxtaposition because you don’t necessarily expect it. And yet it all works.
A Pack for Autumn is a perfect Fall romance with heat
For me, this is a fun fall read, on top of being that spicy cozy romance. Because not only is our leading lady named Olive Autumn Harvest, but the setting is during the fall. There is actually apple picking, talk of pumpkin spice latte, and even a fall harvest festival that just adds to the overall magic of the plot.
As an added bonus, there is a cat named Felix in this book who has a very interesting role throughout the story. While he may just be a cat, he has a lot of personality. And in a lot of ways, he is a matchmaker, a therapist, and even the mayor of the city. You would almost think that he was a shifter, based on what happens in this book. However, it seems that he really is just a cat.
Honestly, if you are looking for a fun, spicy, romantic adventure, set during the fall, then I highly recommend A Pack for Autumn. This book was a surprise for me. And I probably wouldn’t even have known about this book, if it hadn’t been for an Amazon recommendation that was tailored around my recent book choices. While the Amazon recommendations don’t always work out, I will say this was a pleasant surprise.
