Fantasy is such a fun genre to delve into since it immerses the audience into different worlds that are creative and spectacular. It simultaneously showcases new lessons in its story and themes while also providing a sense of escapism and wonder. Understandably, it is a favorite genre among readers. So, here are some fantasy recommendations to add to your TBR!

House of Hollow by Krystal Sutherland

House of Hollow is a young adult fantasy novel that has elements of horror, too, It follows three sisters who start delving into a mystery around an event from their younger years. Throughout the novel, more about this comes to light as Iris Hollow faces the unknown, the supernatural, her sisters, herself, and the truth. With twists and turns, Krystal Sutherland keeps the audience on their toes. The novel is a haunting novel that creeps on you until the very end, which is a testament to the tension Sutherland is able to create, and the subsequent elements of horror and mystery. It keeps you hooked through its themes, unique plot, and atmospheric writing.

Can't Spell Treason Without Tea by Rebecca Thorne

If you're in the mood for a cozy fantasy, this is a great pick! If you're familiar with Legends & Lattes, Can't Spell Treason Without Tea has similar vibes with some more adventure. Rebecca Thorne's novel takes place in a fantasy world where there's magic, politics, and assassins, but Reyna and Kianthe, who are in a secret romance because of their jobs, want to escape the high-pressure nature. They go on a new adventure to leave it all behind and start their own tea shop, but it's not as easy to leave their previous lives behind. The novel refreshingly speaks to fresh starts, adventure, and connections. Plus, it appeals to tea and book lovers!

Can't Spell Treason Without Tea is the first book in the Tea & Tomes series with subsequent books released or scheduled for release.

The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna

The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches is one of my personal favorites for its unique story and well-written characters. Sangu Mandanna crafts a world very much like our own... it just happens to have witches. Witches, including our main character Mika Moon, tend to live isolated lives because witchcraft is often kept a secret. Mika gets asked to become a teacher of three young witches, and the people she meets make her reflect on what she wants, and who she wants. It's a beautiful cozy novel about connection, coming together, and choosing new paths.

The second books in this interconnected series is set to come out later this year. The novel is called A Witch's Guide to Magical Innkeeping.
