The Ultimate Percy Jackson Timeline

Rick Riordan has written a LOT of books on Percy Jackson since the release of The Lightning Thief in 2005.

What started as stories for his then-preteen son, Rick has managed to turn Percy Jackson into a runaway success where his adventures have become as iconic as the Greek heroes themselves. With so many books, it's best to sort out where each book sits in the ever-expanding timeline.

Before we begin this mammoth task, thank you to the Riordan Fandom site, which has an entire timeline page dedicated to this topic.

The way this will work is that we will cite where the story came from if it is a short story and we'll give a larger explanation for ebooks. The books that have hyperlinks are anthology books or reference books

There are two books that are not referenced here as they have not come out yet. The first is the eighth Percy Jackson and the Olympian book, which is supposed to be the sequel to the recently-released Wrath of the Triple Goddess. This alleged third book has not been confirmed yet.

The second book not listed here is the recently announced sequel to The Sun and the Star.
