If you live in or near Boston, you may already be familiar with the Beacon Hills Books & Cafe store. This unique bookstore combines some of our favorite things, books, tea, and food. And they do it in a location that is unique, whimsical, and elegant.

This is a bookstore that doesn't just rely on their books to bring people in (or even their cafe), as they also host events, story times for younger readers, and more. They make reading and shopping for new books an experience.

In researching the Beacon Hill Books & Cafe, I decided to check out their FAQ page to learn a bit more about them. And this led to some very interesting questions. One that made me smile was about the paint colors they use! (Literally, one of the FAQ questions is "What are the paint colors in the store?," with a breakdown of the colors used on different floors and in certain rooms.)

Beacon Hill Books & Cafe is an elegant destination to snag books and a cup of tea and more

One of the very cool features of Beacon Hill Books & Cafe is the fact that on Sundays they actually offer an afternoon tea. The tea is a Prix Fixe menu and goes between 11 AM and 5 PM. They recommend reservations and they are available up to 30 days in advance, which means you can plan ahead for your afternoon tea experience. (According to a post we saw on Instagram, the afternoon tea on Sundays is $65 per person.)

Honestly, the afternoon tea alone has us ready to make a trip to Beacon Hill Books & Cafe. But then seeing the glimpses into the store and the fact that there are such unique rooms dedicated to specific topics makes this a store perfect for book lovers of all types.

Even if you just follow Beacon Hill Books & Cafe on social media, it is totally worth it. Why? Because as far as aesthetics go, this store is all about the serenity of finding your next read.

If you are planning a trip to Boston to check out the store, just know that they are not open on Mondays, so make sure you plan accordingly. And make sure you let us know on social media if you do make the trip to the store and let us know what you think of this bookish destination.
