On January 25, the second Stuff Your Kindle event of 2025 takes place. And for this day dedicated to the magic of books and reading, it is all about the Queer reads.
Hosted by Divination Hollow Reviews, this is the first time that the site is hosting an event like this. So for their inaugural outing, they have decided to keep things small and concise.
This means that they don't have as many books as some of the Stuff Your Kindle events. However, the fact that you can snag a number of Queer books for free as part of this Stuff Your Kindle Day event is extremely exciting. There will be four genres to choose from, and according to the landing page for the event, "we’re aiming for a mix of queer identities within each category."
So what are the categories being offered as part of this "Queer Your eReader" event? That would be:
- Fantasy
- Horror
- Sci-Fi
- Romance
Add some Queer literature to your Kindle on January 25
If you want some fantasy recommendations, here are a few to check out while it's free:
- Farzana’s Spite by Felix Graves
- Riyati Rebirth by Kalani Shimizu
- Yelen & Yelena by C.M. Rosens (This is a dark fantasy with horror vibes.)
If you are looking for some Queer horror reads, it seems that there are three to choose from, although you can find horror vibes in some of the other categories. The three books are:
- Hummingbird by TC Parker
- The Erstwhile Tyler Kyle by Steve Hugh Westenra
- Left To Die by E. M. McConnell
Much like the Horror options, there look to be only four choices when it comes to the Sci-Fi category, but all four are worth checking out if you love this particular genre. With so few to choose from, we decided to hit the romance category to see what they have up for grabs. So what do we suggest?
Here are a few romances worth checking out:
- In the Eye of the Beholder by Beverly Anne Michel
- The Maid's Secret: A Gothic Monster Romance by Anita Zara
- Pumpkin Patch Cutie by Lacey Daize (This is an Omegaverse romance.)
- Falling For Aine by Laura Greenwood
Honestly, if you want more Queer-centric book events like this, then you will definitely want to show your support to Divination Hollow Reviews and the authors who offered up their books for free to readers. There are enough books available to keep readers happy, and of course there are plenty of these events that pop up to help keep us reading all year long.
