Cozy books perfect for sweater weather
While fall tends to focus on Spooky Season, another part of fall makes it so popular: the coziness of the season. People are ready to break out their sweaters and blankets, drink a hot beverage, and enjoy the magic of self-care. So while none of these books will bring the scares many expect in the month of October, they will bring the cozy vibes so many are looking for. So flop on the couch, light your favorite candle, and cuddle up with these amazing books.
1. The Dallergut Dream Department Store by Miye Lee
What is more comfy than pajamas? Absolutely nothing. And The Dallergut Dream Department Store is the perfect book to summon these vibes. It shows the power of dreams through a series of cute vignettes. It shows how the correct dream can help someone fall in love, find inspiration, or enjoy the wonders of life. In addition, one of my favorite dreams comes in the form of a dog's dream - so our favorite furry friends are not left out of this book. It's a read that is easy to do in one sitting, and maybe if you nap afterward, you'll find yourself buying your own dreams at this store.

2. A Novel Love Story by Ashley Poston
For many people, Gilmore Girls is a fall staple. There is just something about Star's Hollow that screams fall alongside the autumn leaves in the title feature. So for those who have always wished they could go and spend time there, this is the book for you! A Novel Love Story has our main character, Elsy, get trapped in the world of her favorite cozy romance series - one that will never be completed due to the author's tragic death. The characters are trapped in limbo, and there's a very hot bookseller Elsy is positive has never shown up in the books before. As she is determined to fix the town to give everyone a happily-ever-after, it becomes clear that Elsy might need her own.

3. Funny Story by Emily Henry
Another book about a fall-coded small town, Funny Story might be considered a "beach read" but it truly encompasses the exact cozy vibes I am always looking for during fall. However, this book allows for the reader to slowly fall in love with Waning Bay alongside Daphne, who only moved there because of her ex-fiancé. With a quirky cast of small-town characters and an adorable love story, this book has everything needed for a perfect fall read. And I highly recommend a blueberry pie candle to go with it, just trust me on this.
