It is hard to believe October is almost over, and November is less than a week away. With how fast the year is going, I truly cannot believe how close it is to being over. However, even though we are about to say goodbye to Spooky Season, the best thing about the changing of the months are the new books! These are the books I am most excited for coming out in November.
1. Where the Library Hides by Isabel Ibañez - November 5th
This book reminded me so much of the Brendan Fraser The Mummy movies. There is witty banter, romance, and magical archeology. The first book, What the River Knows, was an excellent introduction to the world and characters. And with the author promising more betrayal and more magic in the ending of the duology, I truly cannot wait to see how this story ends.

2. Altar'd Plans by Alexis Almanzar - November 15th
I have been excited about this book for months, so now that the wait is almost over, I am buzzing with excitement. This book has all of my favorite romance tropes: fake dating, only one bed, and terrible blind dates. Not to mention, there are two cute pets! While I already feel bad for Juniper's story starting with her being left at the altar, I am so excited to see what happens next.

3. The Half King by Melissa Landers - November 19th
I am the first to admit the Red Tower Books' use of gorgeous sprayed edges is a fabulous marketing tactic. It truly gets me every time. However, even though these books are pretty, every time I read them, I am always impressed by the stories - so they are well worth the buy. And once again, these gorgeous pages made me immediately preorder, but the cursed king who disappears at night? That's a story I am intrigued by and very excited to dive into.
The Half King is available for preorder through Entangled Publishing
4. Is She Really Going Out with Him? by Sophie Cousens - November 19th
I love romcoms so much. They are amazing palette cleansers after reading something serious - and this book looks like it's going to be a perfect laugh-out-loud read. When one of her colleagues is after her column, Anna Appleby comes up with an idea: to write a series about her kids setting her up on different dates and seeing how it goes. Knowing how kids' minds think, I can only imagine what kind of chaos this is going to end up having - after all, I have had my students try to set me up with their parents or siblings before. But if Anna's road to love is paved with hilarity, I am ready devour this book.
Is She Really Going Out with Him? is available for preorder through Penguin Random House
5. All Better Now by Neal Shusterman - November 26th
I am both excited for this book and reluctant because it's clear it is partially based on Covid with the plot revolving around a deadly virus. However, I am just so intrigued by the premise, that I'll be reading it anyway. Because what if the lasting side effect of surviving this deadly illness is to be completely content in life? What is the effect of that on the different governments? What happens when people plan on spreading this in hopes of achieving world peace? Is it worth the risk? It's a fascinating premise, and I am excited to see how the three teenage main characters navigate this, and how the world changes as a result.
