If there is one thing that we can all agree on when it comes to TikTok, it is that it has absolutely changed the game when it comes to the world of books and literature. BookTok has made it easier than ever for readers to find new worlds and writers to fall in love with. And the BookTok hype is so immense that it has now gone beyond creating best selling books and driving books into becoming movies.
The magic of BookTok has now expanded to the world of Funko Pop! That is because Funko has announced that they are releasing their first-ever, "author-driven literary-based Pop! figures." These Pop! figures have been crafted based solely on the character descriptions written by Lauren Roberts in her Powerless trilogy.

If you are unfamiliar with this trilogy, it is actually a Young Adult Fantasy series. I should also note that it sounds like this may not be a trilogy for long, as there is said to be a fourth book coming out in April 2025. So knowing that some characters from the book are becoming Funko Pop! figures is fascinating.
In this case, the two Pop! figures represent the characters of Kai Azer and Paedyn Gray. Both figures are currently available on the Funko site for preorder, with an expected ship date in September 2025. And this is definitely exciting news for a lot of reasons.
Not only does this open the door for other book characters to get the Funko Pop! treatment, but it also proves the power of BookTok in driving readers to new books, authors, and series. There are so many characters and books that deserve to live beyond the pages, even if that doesn't mean a movie or TV series. And the idea of beloved characters getting a chance to become Funko Pop! figures is actually quite fun.
We are really excited for Lauren Roberts and her Powerless series to get the attention and love it deserves. And the fact that the love includes Funko magic definitely has us ready to drop some cash to have these figures on our bookshelves.
