Onyx Storm synopsis revealed in the most dramatic way possible
Rebecca Yarros has kept the romantasy world on its toes since the release of Fourth Wing. And I fell in love with the series so hard, that I have been counting down the days until I get to read the next ones. I am already anticipating when Onyx Storm drops, I am going to need a day off to read as much as possible because I know I will be hyper-fixating on it from the moment it becomes available.
So, with the countdown on, readers have been anxiously awaiting every little piece of information we can get about the book. And today, we were rewarded with the official synopsis of Onyx Storm:
"After nearly eighteen months at Basgiath War College, Violet Sorrengail knows there’s no more time for lessons.
- Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros
No more time for uncertainty.
Because the battle has truly begun; and with enemies closing in from outside their walls and within their ranks, it’s impossible to know who to trust.
Now Violet must journey beyond the failing Aretian wards to seek allies from unfamiliar lands to stand with Navarre.
The trip will test every bit of her wit, luck, and strength, but she will do anything to save what she loves - her dragons, her family, her home, and him.
Even if it means keeping a secret so big, it could destroy everything.
They need an army.
They need power.
They need magic.
And they need the one thing only Violet can find—the truth.
But a storm is coming... and not everyone can survive its wrath."
Reading the synopsis completely reignited my excitement for this book, and almost immediately I started comparing the synopsis to some of the theories and questions I had about this book after finishing Iron Flame. While we won't have any answers until January, I am starting to think a few of my theories are correct, and a few might be wrong.
While the synopsis itself was exciting, it was the way it was announced that made me scream. The man who has unofficially become the voice of Tairn surprised us with a reading of the synopsis - complete with Tairn's signature growl right at the end. I keep hoping when the casting announcements for the Fourth Wing show on Amazon come out, he will be the one we see as the voice of Tairn - because we all have to agree, he completely deserves it.
So are you excited about this reveal? Any new theories? Anyone else on the Michael Eok for Tairn train?
