I have made it no secret I am a giant fan of both the Bridgerton books and TV series. I also know waiting for the next season is going to feel like it takes forever, as we have no clues as to when a release date might be - or even when Bridgerton will go back into production! And while we can reread the series (and I highly recommend you do so!) However, if you're looking for more to read outside of the world Julia Quinn created, I have a few books that will help make the endless wait feel somewhat shorter.

1. Mr. Malcolm's List by Suzanne Allain

Mr. Malcolm is the Ton's most eligible bachelor this year. However, every single woman he has met has left him thoroughly unimpressed. He has a list of traits he believes his ideal wife should possess, and the moment a lady shows she doesn't have one - she's immediately dropped. Something Miss Julia Thistlewaite has taken personally. She decides her best friend Miss Selina Dalton is perfect for her revenge plan. While coaching her to fit all of Mr. Malcolm's desired traits, she also creates a list for Mr. Malcolm to find wanting. This creates a comedy of errors, love, and laughter (and maybe a very poorly planned kidnapping or two) which scratches the Bridgerton itch while giving us another Regency Romance to swoon over in the process.

2. The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels by India Holton

Have you ever asked yourself, "What would happen if Bridgerton had magic?" It doesn't matter if the answer is yes or no, this book takes the concept and runs - creating a one-of-a-kind spectacle that balances action and comedy. Cecilia Bassingwaite is a charming lady thief who is forced to work with a charming (and incredibly handsome!) assassin who has been contracted to kill her. It's a wild ride full of flying houses, evil pirates, and women who love being underestimated.

3. The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein by Kiersten White

This is a book that Eloise Bridgerton wishes existed in her world. This book takes the novel Frankenstein and reimagines it through the eyes of Elizabeth Lavenza. Where we always see Victor's point of view in the novel, Elizabeth takes center stage here. She watches Victor's descent into madness, she finds herself doing her best to fight against it - within the limited rights and knowledge she had as a poor woman in the Regency era. It shows her strength and knowledge, and gives an alternative view of the mad scientist and the Creature - all while giving Elizabeth an actual plotline outside of constantly pining for Victor.
