No matter where you turn around, everyone is talking about Taylor Swift and the Eras Tour. For those able to attend, they share their experience while others are jealous about not being able to.

Whether you're in the latter group or just need more Taylor Swift in your life, there are plenty of books to help fix that. Of course, these books aren't written by Taylor Swift, but most give you the same feeling as when listening to one of her songs.

As a Swiftie since almost the very beginning, I'm always on the hunt for more Taylor-centric content to enjoy and thankfully as a reader, there is plenty. Of course, these are just 3 books currently out there for you to check out.

If you're looking for more, you'll have to be sure to come back to I Prefer Reading as we might have something else up our sleeves. Until then, I wanted to share some books that are either focused on Taylor Swift or would be great reads for those wanting to read a romance that is similar to her and her lifestyle.

These 3 books will ensure you're safe from a cruel summer.

1. Taylor Swift Is Life by Katherine Perricone

This first book is a recent release and a non-fiction offering to boot. Whether you're a newbie to the Taylor Swift fandom or want to relive some of Taylor's different eras, Taylor Swift Is Life has everything you're looking for. Katherine Perricone does an excellent job of giving an overview of Taylor's life, career, and every single era of hers.

The book also has adorable cutesy drawings of Taylor and some of the most infamous items from her career. Taylor Swift Is Life isn't a long read, making it a short and sweet read which is sometimes exactly what you're looking for. The author is also a huge fan of Taylor Swift so this book is filled with her passion and love for Taylor.

2. The Breakup Tour by Emily Wibberley and Austin Siegemund-Broka

Moving onto my fiction picks, the first is The Breakup Tour by husband-and-wife writing duo: Emily Wibberley and Austin Siegemund-Broka. Released in January 2024, this book hasn't gotten the best reviews but I do think it was a lot of fun. This story follows Riley Wynn who writes this incredibly popular song about her college boyfriend but her ex-husband claims it's about him.

In order to set the record straight, Riley enlists Max to go public about their past and he agrees if he can go on tour with her as a member of her band. From there, it's a mix of forced proximity, mutual pining, and plenty of feelings to work through between these former lovers. While it might not have the same magic as a Taylor Swift song, it is undeniably fun.

3. The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston

The final book making my list is one that truly embodies everything I love about being a Taylor Swift fan. The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston follows our main character, Clementine as she's staying at her aunt's apartment after her death. However, things get weird as she meets up with her new roommate who is her aunt's friend's son and they find out he's 7 years in the past and she's in the present.

The Seven Year Slip seems unlikely, but this book is utterly romantic and will make you feel exactly how listening to "Enchanted" makes you feel. You're excited, hopeful, and honestly, nervous about what's to come. Since it's a romance though, these two do get their HEA but not without a little bit of angst and mess first.

Honestly, there are so many great books I could recommend for my fellow Swifities, but these three immediately came to mind as they're fun and perfect for beach reading. If you do pick them up, you'll have to let us know what you think!
