There is something about a coffee shop that makes the world a better place. The smell of freshly roasted coffee, the jazz music that always seems to be playing in the background, and the gentle vibes that always inspire creativity. Every so often I'll take my computer down to a coffee shop and people watch - getting inspiration for characters for my next book. These books are perfect for reading at a coffee shop or for getting those vibes as you drink your first cup of the day at home.

Imagine if you accidentally kill a Very Important Fae, and everyone who has come to kill you for it instead gets put to work running a coffee shop. These assassins learn what it means to be human and get in a few book club fights along the way. It's a cozy slice-of-life novel, that will remind you of why we love the coffee shop aesthetic in the first place - and give you a cute romance all at the same time.

Magical realism at its finest, this book is perfect to help you understand the small magic humans create daily. A cozy but emotional read, it allows you to become a member of this small town. The characters and setting come alive, playing into the author's strengths. Perfect for lovers of quirky small towns - or those wishing they lived in a quirky small town. The smell of your morning coffee will only enhance your reading experience as you fall in love with this book.

3. Brewed by Heather Sage

There is a reason that coffee shop romance is one of the biggest fanfiction tropes, and I am glad the trope has made its way into general fiction. This book is a sweet romance, allowing the readers to fall in love alongside our main character. It's a story about finding yourself, something many people can relate to, and sets up for a sequel that fans of this book will enjoy.
