When it comes to modern romance authors, no one is holding a candle to Ali Hazelwood. Things are looking even better for her with a recent announcement about Spotify Audiobooks.

For my fellow romance readers, Ali Hazelwood has been everywhere since the release of The Love Hypothesis. Originally written as Reylo fanfiction, it's a romance that appealed to readers of all genres and thus started the hype train for Hazelwood.

Since its publication in 2021, Hazelwood has continued to churn out more books. For the most part, it seemed like she was going to stick to the same STEM formula. However more recently, Hazelwood has been branching out with her content.

To start August, it was announced that Ali Hazelwood is writing an audio-only romance for Spotify Audiobooks called Two Can Play, further cementing her status as one of romance's hottest writers.

Two Can Play is the next milestone for Ali Hazelwood.

In a press email shared with I Prefer Reading, we have all the details you need to know about this unique release: "As an audio-first project, Two Can Play will be an audio-only title on Spotify or wherever you get your audiobooks. As part of our aim to empower authors, Ali will also have the ability to publish the title in print in 2025." It's going to be released via Spotify Audiobooks on October 1st and will be narrated by Kelsey Navarro Foster.

Given that Ali Hazelwood has her own playlist on Spotify Audiobooks, this shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. If anything, it proves to romance readers that Ali Hazelwood is doing something right. Even with some of the most technical parts of her books, Hazelwood does an amazing job of making you love her characters, feel for them, and fall in love with their romance.

The other item of note is that Hazelwood started with fanfiction and that lends itself to a more approachable writing style. That's especially true when it comes to audio-only titles because all we can do is listen and don't have the chance to see it on-page just yet. Even so, it's clear Ali Hazelwood is booked and busy throughout these next few years.

Hazelwood has already released Bride and Not in Love with Berkley this year. She also teased her upcoming 2025 release: Deep End also published by Berkley. We haven't even mentioned her bind-up of novellas and the YA she released as well. No matter if you love her or hate her, Ali Hazelwood's continued domination of the romance genre is something that can't be ignored.

Hopefully, we'll get more exciting news about Ali Hazelwood's 2025 projects soon. Until then, she certainly has a lot of books you can read or re-read. While she might not be everyone's cup of tea, romance readers of all levels love her and that's something we can appreciate.
