With Valentine's Day being right around the corner, it's the perfect time to put together gifts! While you can't go wrong with the classic bouquets or chocolates, you could also consider getting a little creative. If you have a bookworm in your life, consider some book-specific gift options for Valentine's, or other special occasions.

I don't think you can ever go wrong with bookish things, so here are some ideas for what to do for the bookworm in your life!

Annotated Book

Reading is always subjective, and each bookworm is different about their tastes and preferences when it comes to the hobby. Some people don't like annotating or don't like physical books, so this might not be the idea curated to them. However, a lot of people also enjoy looking through books and seeing if notes have been left in the margins.

Annotating a book is a great option for engaging with a bookworm. It's reading that has that added personalized touch as they can somewhat experience the book with you. This works if they have a favorite book, a book on their TBR, or even a book that you'd recommend for them. Not only is it a book they likely want to have a copy of, but it's a meaningful gift showing that you've taken the time to engage with something they love.

Bookish Scavenger Hunt

If you're more for activities, a bookish scavenger hunt could be a fun thing to try. It can be themed around the bookworm to your life's personal taste if they have a lot of favorite books or a favorite series. The hardest task about this one would be to figure out the best way to go about it, if there are trinkets or just clues, and if anything would be at the end of the scavenger hunt.

A scavenger hunt is a fantastic option to be creative, do an activity, and customize it to a specific person. It gets them to engage with their favorite books and share in the experience of that with you.

Restocking

This is a little more specific if you're bookworm annotates or has designated items for reading. But, depending on the frequency of what they use, things can get worn down or just need replacing. It's a nice time to restock some of what they may need or want. You could even get creative with it and find themed (Valentine or otherwise) annotation supplies, bookmarks, and things they might appreciate having while reading, i.e. candles.

This is a simple gift idea, but shows attention to detail and care.

Whether it's for Valentine's Day or some other celebration, hopefully these give some interesting and unique gift ideas that can be personalized for the bookworm in your life.
